Can You Use Incontinence Underwear For Periods?2 Comments13 May 2022 Yes, you can use incontinence underwear for periods! Our period and pee pants are designed with absorbent and waterproof protection from the front waistband through to the back waistband. The same pair of period pants can be worn daily for incontinence and then for your monthly period too.
I answer the pee and period questionnaires here at Cheeky Wipes as part of my role in customer services. Nothing is TMI and I am unfazed by anything our bodily functions (or malfunctions) can throw at us! For every hundred questionnaires filled in at least sixty mention incontinence, sometimes with a dose of shame or embarrassment, a need for discretion and to minimise its impact. Please do not feel alone! A UK population-based cross-sectional postal study of 1415 women found a prevalence of urinary incontinence of 39.9%, due to embarrassment it is accepted that this is under reported. A study found that nearly half of women over 50 have experienced some incontinence from coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercising. Two thirds hadn't consulted a doctor about the issue and just tried to manage alone. "Perfect. Just what I had been looking for. Slight incontinence problems with age and these pads give me confidence to be about and about" Lyn trustpilot Dec 21 How do period and incontinence underwear work?Incontinence underwear and period pants work by having different layers of material which together help absorb period and pee, keep you feeling dry, leak free and comfortable. Reusable incontinence and period products replace pads and tampons and feel just like regular underwear! Our menstrual and bladder weakness pants have a cotton layer next to your skin, followed by extra absorbent layers (of varying absorbency from light flow, moderate flow, heavy flow.) Then there's a leak proof / waterproof layer finished with either cotton, nylon or bamboo outer layer. Moisture is drawn quickly through the cotton layer into the absorbent core which extends to all areas that might need to catch leaks, whether you are running, jumping, chilling or sleeping. They're super comfortable and can be doubled up with an absorbent pad depending on your range of incontinence.
Our incontinence pants will keep you feeling cooler and will help avoid the irritation of wearing daily disposable pads and pants. You will quickly notice the financial saving too! We currently have 5 pairs for £49! Can I use incontinence pads for my periods?Yes, you can use incontinence pads for your periods. All of our pee and period underwear products are interchangeable for your everyday needs or your monthly cycle. In saying that, our Feeling Fearless incontinence pads are designed with charcoal impregnation to help with odours, so they still work brilliantly for your period. Made from multiple thin layers, they're super absorbent and used alongside our heavy flow pants, can last up to 12 hours on heavier days. No need to buy twice! Likewise, our Bamboo or cotton pads can be used for wee or blood! Washable pads have the advantage that even if you don't have a leak, they can be washed in cold water and reused rather than going to waste!
